Helping Hands Helping Hands is an initiative run by villagers for villagers offering voluntary help to all who need a 'Good Neighbour'.
The help is offered to young and old alike in any time of need and includes:
- Transport for appointments, doctors, hospital, vets, etc, & where usual transport is not available (Charged at 30p a mile + parking etc.).
- Wheel chair assistance.
- Errands, collecting prescriptions, occasional shopping.
- Cooking/meals during illness or post-hospital.
- Household - odd jobs/repairs, changing fuses, tap washers, etc. garden jobs.
- Form filling (non-legal), & letter writing, financial advice.
- Pet care during illness, holidays, dog walking.
- Housework during illness, cleaning, ironing.
- Visiting, befriending.
