A Parish Plan for Lidlington?

The Parish Plan:

  • Involves and includes everyone in the parish.
  • Maps out services and facilities already in the community.
  • Discovers what issues and opportunities people feel need addressing.

This information is used to form an action plan to look at how these issues can be tackled.

Why do a Parish Plan for Lidlington?

  • It is an opportunity to look forward for the next 5 to 10 years rather than just responding to tasks that need immediate action.
  • A Parish Plan provides a collective view of what people in the parish want, providing a stronger voice for the community.
  • It provides evidence of need and commitment, which may be used to influence local authorities, service providers and funders.

  • It is an opportunity to bring everyone in the parish together strengthening community spirit & involvement.

Monthly meetings are normally held in the village hall meeting room. See the Lidlington events calendar on the news page for the date of the next meeting. All interested village residents are welcome to attend meetings.

A questionnaire to be distributed to all residents of the village is currently in preparation and is planned for delivery in July. The production and distribution of the parish plan from the questionnaire and other consultations is planned for later this year.

A summary document of all the issues raised during consultation is available for download here.
